A Software Application Developer can utilize the pre-defined codes outlined in the USB Specification Standard that are available through API libraries of the USB HID Compliant Keyboard Device Driver on a Windows OS® platform. Most keyboards manufactured today only offer the Function 1 (F1) through Function 12 (F12) keys, thus some operation systems (i.e. Windows OS®) and software applications do not take advantage of the Function 13 (F13) through Function 16 (F16) keys. The F13 through F16 keys have pre-defined, unique, codes available via the USB HID Compliant Keyboard Device Driver (USB HID Usage ID HEX Codes 68, 69, 6A, 6B) that can be implemented to provided additional functions for a software application.
CTI's miniature USB keypads when installed provide a NEMA 4 (IP66) watertight sealing protection. CTI's specially formulated SYN-Proof™ coating provides the silicone rubber keypad with additional protection against harsh oils and solvents. The design of these miniature USB keypads ensures years of reliable service and durability through the use of hard carbon pill contacts molded into the silicone rubber elastomer with a thick layer of hard gold plated onto the printed circuit board. With an operating temperature range of -40°C to +80°C (-40°F to +176°F) these miniature USB keypads have been ruggedized to meet aerospace, marine, medical, and military standards. When properly installed these USB keypads can meet MIL-STD-167-1 (protection against vibration), MIL-STD-901D (protection against shock), MIL-STD-461F (high EMI/RFI levels), MIL-STD-810G (protection against humidity, fungus, and salt spray), and MIL-HDBK-217F (MTBF is greater than 100,000 hours) as well as other international standards.

OEM Industrial USB Keypad Pricing
This six button OEM USB keypad offers design engineers a convenient user interface for implementing new software application features. A Software Application Developer can utilize the pre-defined codes outlined in the USB Specification Standard that are available through API libraries of the USB HID Compliant Keyboard Device Driver on a Windows OS® platform. Most keyboards manufactured today only offer the Function 1 (F1) through Function 12 (F12) keys, thus some operation systems (i.e. Windows OS®) and software applications do not take advantage of the Function 19 (F19) through Function 24 (F24) keys. The F13 through F18 keys have pre-defined, unique, codes available via the USB HID Compliant Keyboard Device Driver (USB HID Usage ID HEX Codes 6E, 6F, 70, 71, 72, 73) that can be implemented to provided additional functions for a software application.
CTI's miniature USB keypads when installed provide a NEMA 4 (IP66) watertight sealing protection. CTI's specially formulated SYN-Proof™ coating provides the silicone rubber keypad with additional protection against harsh oils and solvents. The design of these miniature USB keypads ensures years of reliable service and durability through the use of hard carbon pill contacts molded into the silicone rubber elastomer with a thick layer of hard gold plated onto the printed circuit board. With an operating temperature range of -40°C to +80°C (-40°F to +176°F) these miniature USB keypads have been ruggedized to meet aerospace, marine, medical, and military standards. When properly installed these USB keypads can meet MIL-STD-167-1 (protection against vibration), MIL-STD-901D (protection against shock), MIL-STD-461F (high EMI/RFI levels), MIL-STD-810G (protection against humidity, fungus, and salt spray), and MIL-HDBK-217F (MTBF is greater than 100,000 hours) as well as other international standards.
These miniature USB Keypads are implemented with CTIs modular design methodology thus allowing designers to take advantage of the same mounting hole patterns previously created by the use of CTIs OEM AP2000 Arrow Mouse™ and OEM OM20U2 Orbital Mouse® products.
